On June 24, 1981, in the mountain village of Medjugorje in Herzogovina, Our Lady appeared to six children. She identified herself as the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace, and continues to appear to the young people daily. Her mission is to promote peace with God and mankind, through her Son, Jesus. Mary's own words to the children explained, "I have come to tell the world that God exists." People came back claiming to be at such peace, to have experienced spirituality like they have never felt before. After an early morning arrival in Frankfurt, Vienna or Zurich, you will connect flight to Split. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a tour guide and driver who will then take you on the 2 1/2 hour drive by private motor coach to the village of Medjugorje. Once there, you will be introduced to your host family in whose modern and comfortable house you will be staying for the next seven nights. Days 3 to 8 - Medjugorje
Experience the beauty and peace of this simple village. During your stay in Medjugorje you will have the opportunity to share our faith with thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Our local guide will accompany us throughout the week. Here are some of the activities we'll be sharing with our fellow pilgrims: Each morning at 10am we assemble at St. James Church for the English-language Mass. Follow the same path up Apparition Hill where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Touch and pray before the cross that commemorates the spot where Mary first appeared to the visionaries. Each evening at 6pm each evening we will join the villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary. Each evening at 6:40pm be present in the church when the apparitions occur. Each evening a Croatian Mass, and the Blessing of the Sick. Our guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes. We will have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 the villagers built a 30' high cross on the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. Visit and pray at "Blue Cross", which is a place of great healings and graces. We will visit the Oasis of Peace, which has an incredible 24-hour Adoration Chapel. We will visit the community of Cenacolo. Visit Father Jozo's parish and attend his highly inspirational talk, and receive his powerful healing blessing. When the apparitions began in 1981, Father Jozo was the pastor of St. James parish, and is considered by many to be one of the highlights of any pilgrimage to Medjugorje. Of course, visit is contingent upon his schedule. Day 9 - Medjugorje - Split – USA/San Juan
After an early breakfast and heartfelt farewells, we leave by motor coach for Split Airport for return flight home. Single Supplement $295.00 (Code: PG56) Travel to Rome, The Eternal City. Spend four nights enjoying the spiritual life in Rome. Visit the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, world famous for Michelangelo's ceiling paintings including The Last Judgment. Visit St. Peter's square and Basilica, St. Mary Major, St. John the Lateran, St. Peter in Chains, Catacombs, Colosseum and see many beautiful fountains of Rome. Attend a papal public audience (if there on Wednesday or a blessing on Sunday). On one of the days we'll take a full day trip to peaceful Assisi. From St. Clare's church, and joy a pleasant walk via pretty Piazza del Commune down to St. Francis Basilica, the hub of a religious order devoted to ideals of humility, forgiveness, simplicity and love for God's creatures.
